While we are in the midst of unprecedented times, The Shyan Selah Foundation remains committed to fostering a positive and hopeful outlook in the future in our youth – especially youth of color. During the COVID-19 pandemic our team beat the odds in creating not one, but TWO programs designed to foster creativity, healthy living, and career pathways in our youth and young adults. In joining forces with the State of Washington’s Department of Commerce, we launched The Artist Workshop for high school and college students and Connect to Nature for middle and high school students. Both programs had successful pilot seasons in 2022-2023 with over 800 students served. Now our focus is on continuing to raise the bar and build upon those successes as we continue to elevate black and brown communities throughout our home state. We remain steadfast in our goal to keep our community’s young people safe and productive while instilling in them skillsets and nurturing their talents and dreams for their future.  Will you join us?
